Tammin is an Australian Actress. She is popularly known for playing Dani Sutherland on Home and Away and Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars. She also plays Coleen Carlton on the Young and the Restless.Tammin is an immigrant.
She was born to Daryl and Julie Sursok in Johannesburg, South Africa. The family moved to Sydney, Australia when Tammin was just four years old. Tammin is someone who was brought up surrounded by music because her mother, Julie is a classically trained pianist.
She was also a part of the Sydney Youth Musical Theatre. There she worked on her interests in acting, music, and dance. She also went to Trinity Speech and Drama College. Tammin went to Ravenswood School for Girls in Gordon, Sydney where she majored in speech and drama.
Tammin appeared on Home and Away from 2000-2004. She also won a Logie Award for Most Popular New Female Talent contending against Caroline Craig, Madeleine West, and Karina Brown. She also got Nominated for Most Popular Actress but lost to McLeod’s Daughters star Lisa Chappell.
Sursok left Home and Away to pursue a music career and further acting opportunities in the US. She went on and signed a contract with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Her solo album Whatever Will Be was released on 22 May 2005. The songwriters for the album were Savan Kotecha, David Krueger, Marion Raven, and Steve Booker.
The album started at #13 on the ARIA Albums Chart and held that position for two weeks before significantly dropping to #36After the success of her album, she made plans to launch herself in the UK. However, those plans didn’t quite work out for Tammin. After that, she decided to relocate from Australia to Los Angeles in 2016 to get back to acting.
She made her comeback that very year with a bit role in the film Aquamarine.In 2007 Tammin landed the role of Colleen Carlton on the American soap opera series The Young and the Restless. She was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for her role as Colleen the following year. Her character was killed off after two years of her playing it.
Tammin said that it was a mutual decision between her and the showrunners. In 2009 she was seen on the Nickelodeon musical film Spectacular!. Sursok was seen playing the role of Courtney. She recorded over three tracks for the film’s soundtrack and appeared on seven songs including two solos.
The soundtrack was recorded in 2008 and released in February 2009; it peaked at number 44 on the Billboard 200. She also played a recurring role in Disney Original Channel Series Hannah Montana and can be seen in over eight episodes. From there Tammin went on and was cast in ABC Family’s planned television adaptation of the teen mystery book series Pretty Little Liars.
Sursok played Jenna Marshall on the show and is pretty well known for it. She also played Sarah Corso in the film Driving By Braille. She got back to music in 2014 with a cover of “Say Something” which was made famous by A Great Big World and featured Christina Aguilera.
Tammin married her boyfriend, actor, producer, and director Sean McEwen On 24th August 2011. The couple got married in Florence, Italy. She had made an exclusive deal with an Australian magazine Women’s Day to publish the wedding photos. The couple has two children and three dogs.
