Anju Mahendru is an Indian actress. She was born on 11 January 1946 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is best known as Neelam in Kohi Apna Sa and Kamini Gupta in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Anju started her career as a model. She was just 13 years old when she started modeling. She made her on-screen debut with the film Uski Kahani (1966). She started modeling at the age of 13. She was discovered by poet and lyricist Kaifi Azmi who recommended her to Basu Bhattacharya.
Basu cast her in the film Uski Kahani in 1966. She also had a Long time relationship with Actor Rajesh Khanna but he left her to marry Actress Dimple Kapadia.
