Taapsee Pannu is an Indian actress and model. She was born on 1 August 1987 in New Delhi, India. Taapsee made her acting debut with the Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam. Taapsee worked as a software professional and pursued a career in modeling before becoming an actress. She mostly works in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. Her Tamil film Aadukalamwon six National Film Awards at the 58th National Film Awards.

Taapsee also appeared in many ad commercials. She was awarded the Most Enthusiastic Performer-Female Award at the 2014 Edison Awards for her performance in the Tamil film Arrambam (2013).
