Praveen Kumar Sobti is an Indian sportsman, actor, former BSF soldier. He became famous after his role of Bheem in the famous serial Mahabharat. He joined BSF when he was just 20 years old. Praveen also represents India at Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and two times in Olympics. Praveen won 4 medals in Asian Games and a silver medal in Commonwealth Games.
Then he started his acting journey. He worked in more than 50 movies and serials. Praveen made his debut with the film Raksha in 1981. In 1988, he started working as Bheem in B. R. Chopra’s Mahabharat. In 2013, Praveen become active in Politics. He joined AAP and contested on AAP’s ticket from Delhi but lost. In 2014 he left the AAP party and joined BJP.

He was born on 6 December 1947 in Sarhali Kalan, Punjab. Currently, he was living in New Delhi, India. Praveen did his schooling at a government school in Sarhali Kalan, Punjab.
