Cheran is an Indian movie director, actor, and producer. He was born on 12 December 1965 in Pazhayoorpatti, Melur, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father name is Pandiyan and mother name is Kamala. He also has 2 sisters.
In starting of his career he worked as a Assistant director. Cheran made his debut with the movie Porkkaalam in 1997. He is married to Selvarani. He has two daughters Dhamini and Nivedha Priyadarshini.
In 2004 Cheran appeared in the movie Autograph as a lead actor. In 2019, he participated in Bigg Boss Tamil season 3 as a contestant along with Abhirami Venkatachalam.
