Arjun Gupta is an American actor and producer. He is best known for his roles as William “Penny” Adiyodi on Syfy’s The Magicians and substance-addicted nurse Sam on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie. In 2009 he majored in his first motion picture acting alongside Uma Thurman in Motherhood. He is also a well-known producer. He also co-founded a theatre group in Southern California with other like-minded artists. This theatre had the goal of providing a platform or an opportunity for underrepresented groups through the medium of original stories and retellings of classics that reflect the world today.

Arjun was born in Tampa Florida, United States. He was enrolled at the Berkeley Preparatory School where has performed in several school plays. He attended a New York University named Tisch’s School of Arts, from where he graduated with a BFA degree in the year 2007. In 2009 his first Major Motion Picture alongside Uma Thurman in motherhood was released.
