Koena Mitra is an Indian model and actress. She was born on 7 January 1984 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She mostly works in Bollywood movies. She made her debut with an item number in the movie Road in 2002. Koena made her appearance as a lead actress in Bollywood with the movie Musafir in 2004. After that, she appeared in a number of Bollywood movies like – Insan, Apna Sapna Money Money, Heyy Babyy, Agar, Anamika, and Ayan, etc.

Koena did her schooling from South Point High School, Kolkata and college studies from Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata. She attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, New York.
