Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. He mostly plays negative roles in Bollywood movies. He made his acting debut with the movie China Gate in the year 1998. Before movies he used to play cricket.

His father name is Shree Hari Om Das Jamal Krishna Tiwari and mother name is Kranti Tiwari. Mukesh Tiwari did his schooling from Lal School, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India, and Govt. Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Mukesh Tiwari did his graduation from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India and National School of Drama, New Delhi, India. Other than Hindi Mukesh also worked in Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi languages. He made his debut in Punjabi movies with Gun & Goal movie.
