Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian actor, singer, television presenter, and social media celebrity. He was born on 6 January 1984 in Dosanjh Kalan, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He is one of the leading artists and singers in Punjabi Industry. He mostly works in Hindi and Punjabi cinema. He made his Bollywood debut with Udta Punjab in 2016 for which he earned the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Diljit made his debut in Punjabi movies with the movie The Lion of Punjab in 2011. He released his first album Ishq Da Uda Adaa in the year 2000. He did his schooling from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Ludhiana and college studies from Al Manar Public School, Ludhiana.
