This well-known American actor, writer, musician, and producer is well known for his role as Seth Cohen on the 2003 television series The O.C. Adam was born on 15th December 1979 in San Diego, California, US.

CAREER
Adam’s first appearance as an actor was in the year 2000 for the role of Barry Williams in the film Growing Up Braddy. He took the role after a year of training and auditioning. He played a minor role in the film American Pie 2 in 2001. In 2002 he portrayed the role of Dev Rygalski in the comedy-drama series Gilmore Girls. In the series, he was playing the role of bandmate and love interest. This role made him famous.
He appeared in the movie Grind and also the music video for Too Bad About Your Girl by the Donors in the year 2003. He also played his role as set ko Hind in the drama series the OC. Adam has always been known for his improvisation of his character’s comedy dialogues. The role of Seth Cohen turned him into a teen idol and the character had been described as “TV’s sexiest geek” by the Los Angeles Times. The article described him as having a ‘refined’ screen persona of ‘unapologetic’ nerdiness. He was also the first male on the cover of Elle Girl.
He appeared in a supporting role in the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005 and also played a Hollywood studio assistant in the film adaptation of Thank You for Smoking in 2006. His next role was in a romantic comedy film named, The Land and of Women in 2007.
After this, he is said to have played the role of a writer who returns to his mother in Michigan to take care of his grandmother who is sick.
He starred in Boaz Yakin’s drama Death in Love and in Diablo Cody’s horror film Jennifer’s Body in 2009. He then appeared in Kevin Smith’s film cop-out and a film name and the romantics. He also voiced the character named Woody in the MTV animated series Good Vibes in 2011.
He also played the older version of Jack Dylan grazer character in the Superhero Movie named Shazam and happened to star in the thriller movie ready or not which was later directed by Matt Bettinelli-Oldpin and Tyler Gilat.
He announced that he had joined the cast of Lovelace which is a biopic about the late 1976 p******* Linda Lovelace directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, in January 2012.
Apart from acting, Adam is also known for his music and writings. He wrote and produced the short film home security in 2003 after which he went on and formed the Los Angeles-based rock band Big Japan alongside Nathaniel Castro and Brett Harrison in 2005. He was the lead drummer in the band. Music for the Dummies was the first music that was released by the band on August 23, 2005. He and his band played in various pubs and festivals from the year 2005 to 2007. He released his first EP this time last year on October 4, 2011.
EARLY LIFE
Adam had attended the Wangenheim Middle School and Scripps Range High School receiving poor grades but grew up to be immensely successful. While living in San Diego he spent most of his time surfing. According to him, he had “pretty much lived at the beach”.
and then went on to attend the community college for one year but then dropped out at the age of 19 and moved to Hollywood aspiring to become an actor.
Adam has often described himself as being a fox “intellectual”, and “Beach mood person”. He is a secular due and is non-religious. He is also a member of the democratic party in the United States and has joined the voting action campaigns including Swing Left.

Adam was born to Valerie Jill who was a graphic artist and Mark Allen Brody who was an attorney. He has two younger twin brothers named Sean and Matthew Brody. His entire family is Jewish and they originally belong from Detroit Michigan. According to sources, Adam had a Bar Mitzvah ceremony and was raised celebrating Hanukkah.
Adam met an actress named Leighton Meester, in March 2010, while filming the movie The Oranges in NYC. They were then engaged in November 2013 and were privately married on February 15, 2014. The couple had their first child in 2015 and then a son in 2020.
